Hi, my name is Anne Stevenson and I am a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor and member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am a partner with At Your Side Therapy where I can offer one to one counselling in a professional, welcoming and warm environment. My working hours are flexible and I can see you in our Livingston office between the hours of 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and some available weekend hours.
Life as we all know can be very difficult and challenging at times. Sometimes we need to take time to look at our life at a deeper level to understand, resolve or come to terms with difficult times or issues from our past, present or future. I will offer unconditional positive regard, empathy and a genuine approach without judgement which will transpire to provide a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship.
My working background is primarily in advice giving and management roles in local authority. My counselling experience is within private sector as well as public and voluntary sectors. I can offer short term as well as long term counselling depending on a person’s requirements. There is no limit to number of sessions; you can have as few or as many as you wish. I have worked with adults and children & young people’s services offering counselling for a wide variety of issues.
I have recently completed a course on a new and upcoming approach to counselling for bereavement focussing on complicated grief under the direction of Professor Kathy Shear.
